High Impact Program

High Impact Program

The objective of the High Impact Program is to provide a strong response to global concerns, national agendas, or societal needs. The university will appoint subjects as research objectives for Top down programs based on underlying issues. Faculties and institutes will suggest bottom-up programs to achieve great academic outcomes. Longevity is an important prospect of this program, which will be presented by financial sustainability through revenue generated from research, service, creative work, and innovation.

Project’s objectives

  1. Build a strong faculty/college/institute that is ready to thread along a clear and established development path and create products and outcomes that contribute to the empowerment of graduates to become future leaders of good morals and skills.
  2. Make Chulalongkorn University an effective centre of education and source of reference for the country, an intellectual leading figure domestically and regionally, able to create benefit in societal and national development in a more prominent way, by having methods and outcome connected to Sustainable Development Goal (SDG).
  3. Show commitment in management to generate income from impactful research and innovation, enabling long-term prosperity and leading to financial sustainability; a result of the strategy developed by the faculty’s/college’s/institute such as an enterprise or social enterprise.

About the project

In this project, the administrative board, lecturers, and researchers of the partaking faculties/colleges/institutes have to collectively consider and agree that the project moves towards a positive direction and pave the way for the faculty/college/institute to become a nationally and globally accepted provider of outstanding graduates; both in academics and ethics; and acknowledged achievements and researches. This will enable Chulalongkorn University to become recognized as a highly capable entity in each respective academic field, complementary with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) along with a demonstration of a development plan and an income strategy that will support the long-term sustainability of the project.
