PhD Scholarship

Funding for High-Potential Ph.D. candidates under the Second Century Fund (C2F) shall be for the following objectives:

1. To support the university’s overarching goal of student-centered growth and the International Growth strategy, aiming to position Chulalongkorn University among the world’s Top 100 universities (Admiration).

2. To empower faculty and Ph.D. students by providing incentives for producing high-quality research, aligned with their potential in different output categories (Track A, Track B, and Track C).

3. To implement a Retention Payment system, which ensures research output delivery as agreed, with payments made upon successful submission of the research.

There is only a difference in the applicant’s qualification. Track A program is a PhD applicant who is a new student while Track B program is a Chula student who is studying in the first to fourth semester depending on PhD program as follows:

– 3-year PhD program: A PhD student who is in the first or second or third semester

– 5-year PhD program: A sophomore who is in the fourth semester

– Supervisor’s qualification

– Paper submission for publication

– Monthly stipend track B similar to track A normal course

– Accommodation for international students

– Supervisor’s remuneration (40,000 THB/year)
